+The Imperial Armed Forces are subordinate to the Ministry of Defence and are controlled through two intermediate bodies:
+  * The Admiralty, and
+  * The General Staff.
+The Admiralty controls the [[IEN]], which comprises hundred of vessels from destroyers to battleships.
+The Admiralty also controls the Earth Marine Corps, which comprise all ship-board Marine Regiments, several Independent Marine Regiments in each Quadrant, and one Special Forces Regiment (the Deep Space Force).
+The General Staff controls the Imperial Army, which comprises the Ground Force Divisions, the Internal Security Divisions, the Mobile Assault Brigades and two Special Forces Regiments.
