Welcome to James Kemp's Wiki
This is a collaborative web platform that allows people to edit1) the web pages to provide additional content for some of the stories I have written and the roleplaying games that I am involved in, whether as a player or GM.
There are several namespaces operating slightly different wiki subjects. These are, in no particular order:
- Skyss - Story Background - a fantasy novel I wrote for NaNoWriMo 2016.
- Perfects - background for the near future story and some police roleplaying that I ran in that universe
- Theocracy of Daprav - A D&D campaign that I ran with Glasgow University Games Society around 2002-3.
- Jim Wallman's Universe - a roleplaying by e-mail campaign that I play in, this is an unofficial wiki and none of it is canon unless Jim says it is.
- Interstellar Freelance Unlimited - subset of the Universe pages covering the activities of a mercenary company that we are currently roleplaying every Full Moon.
- Earth Imperium pages. These cover the activities of the Government of the Solar republic (aka Earth Empire) in Jim's Humanity Will Prevail campaign, including the Earth Imperium News Items.
- Free Worlds Alliance - covering the activities of another emerging polity in the Humanity Will Prevail campaign. Mostly contributed by Eric Moroney.
- Universe Background - page collecting the various bits of background info that have come up in various e-mail discussions for the campaigns set in Jim Wallman's Universe.
- Master map of the Universe (6Mb PDF, as at 3212).
- Delta Green - some roleplaying campaigns about horror and conspiracy. The main one was set in Berlin in 1953.
- Free games rules - a collection of free rules for wargames and other sorts of face to face games that I have designed or run.
- Wargames rules - I'm not just a player of games, I also do rules for them from time to time as well as one-off games. A primary outlet for this is through Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group.
- Other free rules - at the moment just those for the 1689 (Orange or Lemon? and Bonnie Dundee, respectively about the debates in the Scots Parliament and then the military campaign of Viscount Dundee during 1689) and The Other Side of the COIN (about what makes people become insurgents). All games that I have have produced for Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group.
- Background for a near future universe where I have written some fiction and also run some roleplaying games in.

Life, but not as we know it
A working title for a game, or perhaps just a story, on a present day discovery of magic. First of all I want to flesh out some of the background of how it all works before going into detail on plot etc.
General Premise
Magic is possible but is largely unknown to people (i.e. the setting is recognisable as the current real world with only a couple of minor changes that could in fact be feasibly true with only a minor suspension of disbelief).
In the past there has been a wider use of some of the forms of magic but these being based on confidence and belief (by both the caster and the target) it has declined with the advance of science providing rational explanations for many phenomena.
Senator Sebastian Rathbone
Senator Sebastian Charles Sinclair Farquar Rathbone is currently the Imperial Foreign Minister in the Senator Danso Tupac Ashanti, LoH Government.
He is 65 years old and the third son of the First Citizen.
He served 35 years in the Imperial Earth Navy, rising to the rank of Rear Admiral in the Fleet Reserve after commanding a Battleship Squadron in the Earth Defence Force.
Over the last 10 years his rise to the position of Foreign Minister has been meteoric, assisted in no small part by personal relations within the Senate and amongst the Senior Citizenry, some of whom still ruffle his hair in public.
He has made a number of well remembered speeches in the Senate, most notably on issues of Imperial stability and leadership, together with some powerful pronouncements on foreign policy which no doubt influenced his being chosen for this, his first Ministerial post.
He has a powerful group of information and polling analysts who work behind the scenes to provide him with the most up to date and accurate information on all issues on which he is talking.
He is also known to regularly attend the Universal Church and New Vegas, and to have had personal audiences with the Neo-Pope on several occasions.
He is divorced with two children, both of whom live with their mother.
He enjoys card games, wine tasting and long walks.
New Foreign Minister - Sebastian Rathbone
3208.110 After discussion with the First Citizen the First Minister has appointed Senator Sebastian Charles Sinclair Farquar Rathbone as the new Imperial Foreign Minister.

New Foreign Minister - Elvis Help Us All!!
Seb is the youngest son of the First Citizen's father (Charles L Rathbone) by his final lover. Many Imperial observers are believed to refer to Seb as the First Citizen's youngest brother in private.
Seb's Naval experience was entirely on interplanetary vessels, and he has never ventured outside of the Homeworlds.
Seb is a party-goer, gambler and womaniser, and his Imperial Guard PSD frequently have to clear up situations after him. Particularly embarassing was the alleged drunken assault on the Bishop of New Vegas during an illegal poker game in the crypt of the Bellagio Church eight years ago.
Seb's advisors are actually powerful bright slave units which frequently have to help him to correct mistakes via audio implants during live public comments.
Seb's so called powerful pronouncements include some bizarre speeches including calling for declarations of war on the RNV and the SSR over the last 5 years. These were subsequently audited out of the public record of Senate debates.

IEN shipyards complete new 8 more Interstellar Scouts to patrol the outer quadrants.
Colony Support Ships
On completion of the SCI class scouts the shipyards will be building some Colony Support ships and some interplanetary destroyers.
