====== The Beginning ======

The patrol, eight strong, leaves the training camp that it has spent the last six months in for its first active posting in the Southern borderlands. They have a long way to go, overland it is about three months travel. The first stage is to go to Templeton where all roads lead, and from there to strike out for the South.

Along the way they stop over in the settlement of Narmaren, close to the site of the decisive battle that formed the Theocracy. It is here that they encounter their first real challenge, that of a series of disappearances.

META: This encounter was based on the scenario "Sometimes They Come Back" in the Kingdoms of Kalamar sourcebook 'Harvest of Darkness' published by Kenzer and Company. I just changed the background and one or two motives to fit in with the campaign setting.
