Welcome to James Kemp's Wiki
This is a collaborative web platform that allows people to edit1) the web pages to provide additional content for some of the stories I have written and the roleplaying games that I am involved in, whether as a player or GM.
There are several namespaces operating slightly different wiki subjects. These are, in no particular order:
- Skyss - Story Background - a fantasy novel I wrote for NaNoWriMo 2016.
- Perfects - background for the near future story and some police roleplaying that I ran in that universe
- Theocracy of Daprav - A D&D campaign that I ran with Glasgow University Games Society around 2002-3.
- Jim Wallman's Universe - a roleplaying by e-mail campaign that I play in, this is an unofficial wiki and none of it is canon unless Jim says it is.
- Interstellar Freelance Unlimited - subset of the Universe pages covering the activities of a mercenary company that we are currently roleplaying every Full Moon.
- Earth Imperium pages. These cover the activities of the Government of the Solar republic (aka Earth Empire) in Jim's Humanity Will Prevail campaign, including the Earth Imperium News Items.
- Free Worlds Alliance - covering the activities of another emerging polity in the Humanity Will Prevail campaign. Mostly contributed by Eric Moroney.
- Universe Background - page collecting the various bits of background info that have come up in various e-mail discussions for the campaigns set in Jim Wallman's Universe.
- Master map of the Universe (6Mb PDF, as at 3212).
- Delta Green - some roleplaying campaigns about horror and conspiracy. The main one was set in Berlin in 1953.
- Free games rules - a collection of free rules for wargames and other sorts of face to face games that I have designed or run.
- Wargames rules - I'm not just a player of games, I also do rules for them from time to time as well as one-off games. A primary outlet for this is through Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group.
- Other free rules - at the moment just those for the 1689 (Orange or Lemon? and Bonnie Dundee, respectively about the debates in the Scots Parliament and then the military campaign of Viscount Dundee during 1689) and The Other Side of the COIN (about what makes people become insurgents). All games that I have have produced for Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group.
- Background for a near future universe where I have written some fiction and also run some roleplaying games in.
Comments and complaints to me at webmaster@full-moon.info please.

Berlin 1953
On this page are some of the maps and photographs of Berlin that I have found in doing my background research for this game. All material that I have not created myself remains copyright of the original authors.
My (unfinished) Berlin Streetmap
This is an amalgalm of several maps drawn by me, what surprised me was the fact that I couldn't get any two of the maps to agree exactly on street lines. Anyway this is as far as I've got at the moment. If anyone wants a copy of the corel draw file that did this originally then let me know and I can mail it to you. Berlin 1945 Maps
Streets
Buildings & Tunnels
There is also this one showing some of the main Nazi-era buildings which inspired the tunnel system in the part of the story where we went round the underground tunnels. It also helped with some of the building locations not shown on the other map.
Modern Berlin
This is a modern map of Berlin (from about 2000) showing the centre of Berlin which I also used for some street mapping. Largely I followed the earlier maps as I felt that there was bound to have been significant changes in streetnames and layouts between 1953 and when the map was drawn. The location of the Golden Gate would be just at the bottom middle of this section.
Berlin Underground
There is an excellent website with several maps of the Berlin underground railway from the immediate aftermath through to the 1960s when it was largely finished and expanded in its more or less current form. Here is the map that is current at the current point in the game. It is dated April 1953.
Views of Berlin 1950
Another website provided some postcard views of Berlin in the summer of 1950. Here are those relevant to the game, although there are more on the web.
View from the Golden Gate (looking towards the Soviet zone)
Brandenburg Gate
Reichstag
This one gives some flavour of the propaganda as do the two posters below it (both posters are East German).
East German Propaganda Posters
Our Five Year Plan
You could almost be forgiven for thinking that this one was a left over from the nazis. The woman looks like she is doing a hitler salute. However the rest of the pose is pure Soviet.
Soviet School Exchange
I'm afraid that my German isn't quite good enough to get this 1952 poster properly translated. If anyone can do the deed then do please give this bit a proper title and explanation. I think it is exhorting the best German youths to go to the Soviet Union for two school years to study there, but I could be wrong.
Blue Gate of Babylon
This is one of the gates that was in the walls of the ancient city of Babylon. Allegedly God wrote a warning in the gate. The gate was removed in the inter-war years by some German Archaeologists and taken to the Pergamon museum in Berlin.
