Welcome to James Kemp's Wiki
This is a collaborative web platform that allows people to edit1) the web pages to provide additional content for some of the stories I have written and the roleplaying games that I am involved in, whether as a player or GM.
There are several namespaces operating slightly different wiki subjects. These are, in no particular order:
- Skyss - Story Background - a fantasy novel I wrote for NaNoWriMo 2016.
- Perfects - background for the near future story and some police roleplaying that I ran in that universe
- Theocracy of Daprav - A D&D campaign that I ran with Glasgow University Games Society around 2002-3.
- Jim Wallman's Universe - a roleplaying by e-mail campaign that I play in, this is an unofficial wiki and none of it is canon unless Jim says it is.
- Interstellar Freelance Unlimited - subset of the Universe pages covering the activities of a mercenary company that we are currently roleplaying every Full Moon.
- Earth Imperium pages. These cover the activities of the Government of the Solar republic (aka Earth Empire) in Jim's Humanity Will Prevail campaign, including the Earth Imperium News Items.
- Free Worlds Alliance - covering the activities of another emerging polity in the Humanity Will Prevail campaign. Mostly contributed by Eric Moroney.
- Universe Background - page collecting the various bits of background info that have come up in various e-mail discussions for the campaigns set in Jim Wallman's Universe.
- Master map of the Universe (6Mb PDF, as at 3212).
- Delta Green - some roleplaying campaigns about horror and conspiracy. The main one was set in Berlin in 1953.
- Free games rules - a collection of free rules for wargames and other sorts of face to face games that I have designed or run.
- Wargames rules - I'm not just a player of games, I also do rules for them from time to time as well as one-off games. A primary outlet for this is through Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group.
- Other free rules - at the moment just those for the 1689 (Orange or Lemon? and Bonnie Dundee, respectively about the debates in the Scots Parliament and then the military campaign of Viscount Dundee during 1689) and The Other Side of the COIN (about what makes people become insurgents). All games that I have have produced for Chestnut Lodge Wargames Group.
- Background for a near future universe where I have written some fiction and also run some roleplaying games in.

New Year at Home for the 22nd!
~~DISCUSSION~~ The 22nd Battle Fleet arrived at the Sol M25 on 3207.386 and made it into orbit around Earth on 3207.396 in time for 15 days of well deserved shore leave in time for the customary new year celebrations. This is their first shore leave since deploying to Wing in a peace keeping capacity over a year ago.
Grand Admiral to Retire
~~DISCUSSION~~ Grand Admiral Ibn Battuta announced that he was stepping down as the Commander in Chief of the IEN. He will be replaced by the current First Space Lord. The Second Space Lord will also retire at the same time as the Grand Admiral and Admiral Sir George Tryon, IEN, currently Director INI will become the Second Space Lord. The changes in Senior Staff will take effect from 3208.099. Further consequential senior staff appointments are expected to be announced in due course.
T69 First Minister Lee Zhang Arrested!
~~DISCUSSION~~ A joint IAO/Imperium Security investigation has lead to the removal and arrest of the First Minister Senator Lee Zhang. Senator Lee Zhang, his wife and one of their domestic servants were arrested at his home as part of an on-going in depth investigation by the IAO. At this stage it is not possible to discuss the details of this investigation, but the charges against Lee are very serious indeed and relate to breaches of Imperial Secrets legislation and espionage. Under the circumstances, the First Citizen has, reluctantly, removed him from office, and in the interim Senator Hilmi Ozkok will be taking on the duties as caretaker First Minister while a replacement is elected.

All items tagged as “news” were originally generated to be current affairs rather than background at the time that they were created. Obviously as the game moves on they will rapidly become part of the background rather than current news.

IEN Construction Plans for 3208
The IEN today announced their plans to bolster Home Worlds defence by building more destroyers and increasing the number of pacifier squadrons.
Summary of Planned IEN construction for 3208
- UoX have already agreed to provide the yards for the construction of two SABI that have just started construction.
- Tokyo Yards will complete 2 SCI in early 3208 and will then begin construction of 2 HBB to be completed in mid to late 3209.
- Solent Yards will complete the 2 SCI at the end of T68 and will commence the construction of two SABI to be completed at the end of 3209.
- Diego Yards will complete the two SCI in early 3208 and will then build three new DD and two new PAC squadrons during 3208, completing in early 3209.
- Civil Yards A will complete the construction of the two SCI at the start of T69 and will begin construction work on 2 SABI class, to be completed at the end of 3209
- Civil Yards B has been Returned to Industry with an emergency recontracting clause.
- TSY 1 will complete construction of the two SCI (staggered in early 3208) and then begin work of three DD, and SSI and and extra PAC squadron during 3208/3209
- TSY 2 will complete construction of the two SCI (staggered in early 3208) and then begin work of three DD, and SSI and and extra PAC squadron during 3208/3209
- TSY 3 will construct 3 DD and an extra PAC squadron.
- TSY 4 will construct 3 DD and an extra PAC squadron.
- TSY 5 will construct 3 DD and an extra PAC squadron.
- TSY 6 will construct 3 DD and an extra PAC squadron.
