Welcome to James Kemp's Wiki

This is a collaborative web platform that allows people to edit1) the web pages to provide additional content for some of the stories I have written and the roleplaying games that I am involved in, whether as a player or GM.

There are several namespaces operating slightly different wiki subjects. These are, in no particular order:

  • Skyss - Story Background - a fantasy novel I wrote for NaNoWriMo 2016.
  • Perfects - background for the near future story and some police roleplaying that I ran in that universe
  • Theocracy of Daprav - A D&D campaign that I ran with Glasgow University Games Society around 2002-3.
  • Jim Wallman's Universe - a roleplaying by e-mail campaign that I play in, this is an unofficial wiki and none of it is canon unless Jim says it is.
    • Interstellar Freelance Unlimited - subset of the Universe pages covering the activities of a mercenary company that we are currently roleplaying every Full Moon.
    • Earth Imperium pages. These cover the activities of the Government of the Solar republic (aka Earth Empire) in Jim's Humanity Will Prevail campaign, including the Earth Imperium News Items.
    • Free Worlds Alliance - covering the activities of another emerging polity in the Humanity Will Prevail campaign. Mostly contributed by Eric Moroney.
    • Universe Background - page collecting the various bits of background info that have come up in various e-mail discussions for the campaigns set in Jim Wallman's Universe.

Comments and complaints to me at webmaster@full-moon.info please.

Current Affairs

See T24 Timeline for details.

The colony has been suffering from a series of pirate raids, the last of these being 3208.122.

Direction of attack in the most recent raid was out from the east, over the sea, coming in low. The approach varies between raids, though very infrequently from the north, mostly from West, South and East.

Blue Hope is not the first colony in this system, there has been at least one other previous colony which failed. The ruins can be seen in the middle fo the Eastern Continent.

DATA Attached is recent data about the BHC administration downloaded from the colonyNet, in case you need to contact anyone else.

According to Security Director Clark's map of current known surveys there are no surveys in the areas of the hot spots. All known surveying is within about 500km of BHC. That said, it might be the other new colonists, or some locals who have been a little lax with their paperwork.

Deploying the spyeyes to a point within range of the continental hotspots will take about 36 hours. You are correct to be concerned about the weather - the spyeyes probably couldn't fly in hurricane conditions.

In orbit with you is a Class 5000 merchant (SS Saucy Sue) taking on a red mercury shipment from BHC, and delivering colonists, technology and various agricultural machinery items.

As you entered the system a few days ago, you detected a Class 4000 leaving the system, which according to its ping code was the SS New Guinea.

Now, as at 3208.174, you have detected an incoming burn that is probably a Class 5000 - eta 6 days. You have sent an automatic ping code request, but the response is not due for another few hours.

~~~DISCUSSION~~~
Milmud Archive
Someone suggested that a web archive of old issues of the Chestnut Lodge Wargame Group (CLWG)'s newsletter ought to be created.
In digging around on my hard disk I've found some back issues that go back to the start of 1998, although I can't be certain that it is an exhaustive archive.
Volume 9: 1997-98
Volume 10: 1998-99
Meta
Here are some player perspective views on some of the games I've played in. Sometimes there are also character perspective views as well, although for longer running campaigns I try to keep those in a more appropriate place.
